However, I present these files and websites as proof of the dire nature of our times -- and, using Matthew 24:37 as a base reference, illustrate what was at least the sociological, moral and spiritual conditions of humankind in Noah's day, what an Atlantean like Ithyanna could also have related too all-too well... and as a warning for our times, as well.

                     FUTURE SHOCK

I present this video as a point of reference in relation to the state of the world in both Noah's day (the setting for Ithyanna, Last Daughter of Atlantis Book I: How the World Ended Millennia Ago) and our present time. Although this 1972 documentary film, based on the 1970 bestseller by Alvin Toffler, is dated, both the film's overall message and many of its specifics/points are still relevant today. narrated by Orson Welles -- whose credits include his radio version of The War of the Worlds (1938), as well as the star and director of Citizen Kane (1941) --  this documentary airs many of the same questions and concerns plaguing us today.

                     THE WAR GAME
        (PREPARED FOR THE BBC: 1965)

This mockumentary from 1965 is presented on this page as yet another reference point, to show how grave and devastating nuclear war could be.

Originally prepared for the British Broadcasting Corporation, or BBC, by maverick film director Peter Watkins, the presentation of nuclear war in The War Game was so horrific that the BBC banned it. Despite being given theatrical distribution, film festivals and in colleges as a loophole, this telefilm was denied an airing on said BBC until 1985, when it was shown in as a TV companion piece with the even more graphic apocalyptic telefilm Threads (1984). To this day, this motion picture is still a very hard-hitting piece of Tele-cinema.

​                 SCIENCE REPORT: ALTERNATIVE 3
        (ITV MOCKUMENTARY, UK; 1979)

This video, a strictly fictional docudrama often described as the television equivalent to the aforementioned Orson Welles 1938 radio adaptation of The War of the Worlds  by H. G. Wells, caused a panic across the UK when it was first telecast on the private British TV network ITV in mid-1977. Originally the final episode of a factual science magazine program, this program was intended to be aired on April Fools Day 1977 as a spoof in keeping with the spirit of the day.

However, labor troubles rife within 1977 Britain pushed back the airdate to 22 June of that year. as a result, when it went to air, a panic resulted and the phone lines of ITV were jammed with frightened ITV viewers calling in from across the UK, worried that the spoof intended by the producers of the show was, like The War of the Worlds 1938 radio broadcast, was indeed factual. the panic was so immense that when a major American TV network wanted to pick it up for broadcast on their network, the network learned that there were regulations in place because of the Orson Welles 1938 panic Broadcast that prohibited such dramatizations on American airwaves, not to mention that the American public, due to the then-recent Watergate scandal and Vietnam War, would have probably thought that Alternative 3 was indeed for real. I myself saw this program twice around that time on the then-fledgling Global Television Network in southern Ontario, Canada. I forget what exactly was said in voiceover at the end of the second broadcast, but I presume it was a disclaimer stating that the program was indeed fictional.

The "plotline" of this mockumentary/hoax documentary revolved around a conspiracy theory that the major governments of the world, seeing the dire increase in earthquakes, famines, pestilences, climate upsets and other catastrophes, colluded to create a massive covert space project to save a nucleus of humans and human culture and transport them to Mars -- which, according to the show, was actually easy to terraform and could support human life.

Again, I wish to caution you that Alternative 3 is 100% pure fiction -- not factual at all!  Therefore, do not fall into the trap that many TV-viewing Britons  fell for back in mid-1977! Still, I have uploaded this as yet another point of reference in relation to the state of the world in both the days of Noah -- the setting for Ithyanna, Last Daughter of Atlantis Book I: How the World Ended Millennia Ago) -- and our own present time. And despite the dated science of this work, this illustrates both the existence of the New World Order as indirectly alluded to in this telefilm and the premise of Project Life-Escape as spoken of within the pages of my aforementioned upcoming book.

       THE LATE GREAT PLANET EARTH
                (DOCUMENTARY; 1979)

I present this video, which has a more hopeful ending, to illustrate both the conditions common in the days of Noah -- the setting for Ithyanna, Last Daughter of Atlantis Book I: How the World Ended Millennia Ago -- and our present time.

Although this documentary film is dated, its overall message and many of its specifics/points are still relevant today. Jointly narrated by the aforementioned Orson Welles  and Hal Lindsey, author of the book upon which this film is based. Also, forgive the poor quality of this video, but this is the best easily accessible online copy of this video I could find.

My faith in Jesus Christ was greatly bolstered by this book when I first read it as a teenager. in fact, the bestselling book The Late Great Planet Earth by Hal Lindsey and C.. C. Carlson (upon which the above video is based) did the same thing for me in regard to learning more about End-time Christianity that the death of Ithyanna's mother (Ithyanna being my book's protagonist) in regard to dealing with the end of her Antediluvian world within the pages of Ithyanna, Last Daughter of Atlantis Book I: How the World Ended Millennia Ago.
